Whole Person Librarianship: Social Work Concepts for Holistic Patron Services
Online course (asynchronous) through ALA-ASCGLA
This course is currently in session for the third time. I’m considering updating the content and offering it again later in 2020. If you’re interested, please email me with your preferred time of year. If I get enough interest, I’ll move forward. Anyone in the world can participate because of the asynchronous nature of the course.
Training Request Form
I’m currently booked for in-person gigs until 2021. The only exception would be weekends. If you need something in 2020 during the week, consider expressing interest in the online course mentioned above, which can be modified for groups as well as individuals.
Presenter info: Sara Zettervall, MLIS, MFA, founding Trainer and Consultant at Whole Person Librarianship, is available to provide trainings, conference sessions, and ongoing consultation on issues in library-social work collaboration. Clients include libraries, library systems, and state conferences in Wisconsin, North Carolina, Florida, Michigan, Illinois – and Victoria, Australia!
Philosophy of Instruction: I believe in the value of in-person learning, especially where human services skills are involved. My strong preference is to travel and provide on-site training; or, where that’s not a possibility, I recommend online training in an interactive series or course format. I’m happy to discuss options that will fit with your budget and needs, so please reach out with any questions.
