Association options for collaborative memberships:
- Public Library Association–Division of ALA with new initiatives around social work and best practices:
- Social Worker Task Force
- Social Work Interest Group (hosted by PLA but open to any ALA member)
- American Library Association–Umbrella over PLA and many other divisions, including:
- ASCGLA, which hosts WPL online courses
- State and regional library associations or chapters (note that these have separate membership from ALA)
- National Association of Social Workers–Primary association for practicing social workers:
- Find a local chapter (note that local chapters are part of NASW, unlike state associations and ALA, which are separate)
